WORLD AR + SELFIE EFFECTS FOR INSTAGRAM + SNAPCHAT

To celebrate the international holiday of Ramadan, we worked with Dior to produce a 3D glowing lantern experience. This effect utilized custom made Dior lanterns that we designed and we added various candle light effects and glowing embers to complete the scene.

The effect utilized both the front and back facing cameras. The back facing camera made it seem as if the user was surrounded by hundreds of glowing lanterns hanging from the ceiling. On Snapchat, it even included a personalized message wishing the Snapchat user a 'Ramadan Kareem' The front facing camera utilized occlusion to place lanterns in front of and behind the user, while adding a subtle light pattern on their face.
